Departmental Overview

Department of Civil Engineering is associated with RTMNU Nagpur. We offer an M.Tech. in Structural Engineering (Since 2014). The department's main strength is a highly qualified faculty members from reputable universities, IITs, and NITs who are experienced and driven.

The department has created amazing facilities, including classrooms, labs, CAD labs, model rooms, and more. The department has close ties to the construction industry through value-added workshops on computer-aided design (CAD), frequent industrial visits, guest lecturers, and summer training for all students.

Additionally, Civil Engineering Department students took top place in the university exam.

One of the main Civil Engineering specialties is Structural Engineering. A Structural Engineering is the Incharge of organizing, analyzing, designing, and carrying out all tasks associated with construction. The major purpose of the department is to give excellent education with conducive atmosphere for the complete development of the students to make them internationally competitive.

The Department of Civil Engineering encompasses a broad range of research areas and foundational technologies in the field of Structural Engineering (such as hydro-science, aquatic ecosystems, urban issues, disaster risk management, regional and national planning, project management, international cooperation, and geotechnical, concrete, structural, and hydraulic engineering). Cost estimation, hydraulic designs, soil engineering, transportation, environmental concerns, surveys, and other things are also included.
